        <p>The article provides information about consequence of the fall of space object to a built-up area of Chelyabinsk region and preventive measures to reduce the damage. Materials of article based on the results of expert surveys, mass media reports, net photo and video materials. The main purpose - is attraction of scientific attention and constructors’ community to the problem of structural safety of buildings in connection with new Outer origin threats manifestation. Damage analysis of industrial and civil buildings from meteorite explosion shock wave was performed, the conclusions to reduce the severity of the effects of this kind are formulated. Simulation results of possible scenarios of the fall of a meteor in the urbanized areas were performed by structural safety center specialists.</p>
