A revolution in the building design is currently undergoing - all developed countries are implementing BIM. Unfortunately, in the complex multistep process of design, building, operation and maintance there is a number difficulties with the introduction of this technology. The aim of this paper is to review the phased implementation of BIM. Three stages are considered. As a result of the findings authors propose recommendations that can be useful to different professionals.
