        <p>Methodsof determining the strength of bricks at inspection of stone buildings and structures are considered in this article. Their advantages and disadvantagesare described.Results of determination of the strengthof a brick by various methods on real objects are presented.The assessment of dispersion of strengthof a bricktested by a standard methodand cylindrical samples drilled from masonry is executed. Results of experiments on brick test by various methods, executed on the samples selected from structuresand acquired at brick factory,are presented. The connection betweenthe strength of samples,coring from stretcher face of bricks,and strength,received by a standard method, is revealedas a result of research of a modern brick.</p>
