        <p>The aim of the study is to create a comprehensive technology for learning BIM with the acquisition of basic skills in the first years of study at the university. The main global trends in learning BIM were analyzed. The modeling objects for the BIM course for the second-year students, the content of the project (text and graphic part) and method for current and final assessing were chosen. The technology and learning platform have been defined. The approbation of the idea was successfully carried out by students of the Engineering and Construction Institute of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. An example of a coursework for the «Computer graphics» discipline, made by a second-year student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering Institute at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in the fall semester of 2018, is presented in the end of this article.</p>
