Benefits and specifics of using corrugated beam in construction
Beam with a corrugated wall is a structure consisting of belts of arbitrary cross-section and a thin metal wall which is curved in the transverse direction. Currently such structures are used as beams, floors in multi-floor residential buildings, large-span beams covering in industrial buildings, dome design elements in administrative buildings. In this article we study the use of corrugated beam and its comparison with the classical I-beam. It is shown that the use of corrugated beam has a number of advantages and some disadvantages. Based on the research conclusions were made: Corrugated beams help to save material because of the reduced wall thickness and the curved shape. Strength of corrugated beams is only slightly above the strength of normal beams. Replacing conventional truss or I-beam with corrugated beam is not always possible.

Influence of corrosion on the light steel gauge framing
Construction technology based on the lightsteel gauge construction is a frame technology, allowing erecting houses in a short time. The essence of this technology is using panels of light steel galvanized perforated and non-perforated profile, which form the metal frame of the building. There aremany characteristics of LSGF that have been explored for nowadays. One of the main such characteristics is corrosion resistance. Corrosion protection of light steel structures is extremely important. For the construction of steel structures, electrochemical corrosion has the main importance. Electrochemical corrosion processes take place in aqueous solutions. When the metal surface in contact with the electrolyte solution there is an interaction of the metal with charged particles of solution and the transition metal ions into the solution. It is known that stress corrosion cracking occurs under the action of tensile stresses, which cause dilation of cracks. Compressive stresses counteract cracking, causing the closure of cracks. Growth of carbon content insteel leads to growth of its resistance to stress corrosion including in environments of nitrides and hydroxides. Reducing the grain size of steel increases its resistance to cracking, which is associated with the increase of cracking of path and strengthincrease. In a high risk of corrosion, it is better to use solid, closed sections than lattice. Greater consumption of steel will pay off as a result of increasing physical strength of the structure. Currently, the most common method of corrosion protection is the application of coatings in a layer of paint. They concede superiority in terms of stability, plated and metal coatings, but more are available.

Diagrid structural systems for tall buildings
This article discusses the use of diagonal mesh support structure on the example of a high-rise building. High-rise buildings are the difficult construction object representing unique constructions which have height over 100 meters. One of the most dangerous factors influencing high-rise buildings is the wind which can to break integrity of protecting designs and to lead to impossibility to operate the building. Also at design of high-rise buildings is necessary to consider seismic stability of a construction and pressure which puts upon soil. As well as any unique construction the high-rise building is very expensive construction object including besides project and construction works as well scientific researches. Therefore, at design always try to reduce the cost of construction by application of the advanced construction technologies. Diagonal and mesh bearing designs - "Diagrid" belong to one of front lines and construction technologies gathering popularity.

The standardized farm designs with 10% slope for 24, 30, 36 meters span
Standardization and unification of elements, structure designs is one of the main ways to decrease people resources consumption and summary design cost.In this article standard designs of farms of a covering with 10% slope were developed for 24, 30, 36 meters spans for different combinations of loadings. Calculation of efforts and selection of elements sections was made in the program complex SCAD Office. Further there was revealed the dependence between section thickness, spans and loading and there was investigated a limits of using various standard sizes of the accepted bottom chord connection knot. The designed series of farm designs with a 10% slope for 24, 30, 36 meters spans covers the range of loadings from 1,3 t/m to 3,3 t/m. In comparison with similar farms of a series of Molodechno, has smaller metal consumption due to reduction of the top chord section. Transportation of 12-meter lateral section gets to required category.

Raising the level of seismic protection of existing RC structures in seismically active regions
RC structural systems appeared in practice after 1950, but with relatively weak and non-earthquake resistant structural elements. Modern RC systems started to be built after 1980. With the coming into effect of modern regulations, there arises the need for raising the level of seismic protection of existing RC structures that are not seismically built. The procedure for analysis and design is similar to the procedure for analysis and design of masonry buildings. For the RC elements, there is a more sophisticated method for definition of the capacity of strength, stiffness and deformability as well as definition of characteristic points in the P-δ working diagram.

Changes of maximal flow regime in Arctic
For the Russian Arctic territory, expected changes of multi-annual maximal flow statistics is estimated for the period of 2010-39. Results are obtained for the climate scenarios SRES:A2, SRES:A1B and SRES:B1 for four projections from Global Circulation Models. The method of the long-term estimation of the multi-annual maximal flow statistic is based on stochastic model of a spring flood flow with regional adaptation. For the most part of Arctic, the significant changes of the multi-annual maximal flow are expected. Regions with expected significant changes in multi-annual mean values and variation coefficients are outlined. In such zone, the correction of maximal discharge “upper-tail” valuesis recommended. Examples of maximal dischargesof 1 % probability of exceedance are shown for two catchments.

Gypsum-cement reactive powder concrete
Current state of construction science causes for the repair and strengthening of unique buildings and structures using binders and concretes based on them having a high strength and speed of her set, which includes the so-called reactive powder concrete - Reactive powder concretes (RPC). However, most of these concretes currently received broad scientific and practical development, based on Portland cement hydration rate is limited and, obviously, today has reached its limit. This makes it impossible to accelerate work on the repair and strengthening of unique buildings and structures. Relevance of the work is the need to obtain and study RPC, with high speed curing, high compatibility with concrete structures and other properties of a sufficient level of performance. It is known that a sufficiently high rate of setting and hardening of gypsum binders have, however, they have a reduced water resistance, which restricts their area of application. Increase the water resistance of gypsum can be achieved by coadministration of gypsum binder in Portland cement and hydraulic additives - give gypsum cement binder. According to the composition of its components on gypsum cement concrete binder can be attributed to the RPC, which have a high rate of setting and hardening, as well as compatible with concretes existing constructions. Consequently they have no disadvantages inherent in other known species of RPC. The aim is to investigate the possibility of obtaining and properties of RPC-based gypsum cement binder. Thisgoal is achieved by using in the preparation of gypsum cement as hydraulic binder in finely divided additives soda lime silicate glass by mixing the dry ingredients with an aqueous solution of a polyalcohol. The resulting particulate reaction gypsum cement concrete has a compressive strength reaching 35 MPa, coefficient of the water resistance of not less than 0.9 at high speed curing.

Concrete with the lowered shrinkage and creep
The properties of monolithic structures concrete that determine its fracture durability take on special significance in high-rise building. This paper presents the results of designing the concrete with the specified limit values of shrinkage and creep deformation. Achieving the desired properties and the selection was carried out using concrete active mineral admixtures (fly ash, silica fume, metakaolinite), SNF - superplasticizer and anti-shrinkage additives Estrifan Additive RCL. Application of anti-shrinkage additives allowed reducing air shrinkage by 29%. In addition, it was found that the anti-shrinkage additive Estrifan Additive RCL dramatically reduces heat cement. This is consistent with the decrease in strength caused by the additive, however, a decrease in strength by only 6-7 %, and while heat is reduced by about 30 %. Performance of stringent requirements to concrete creep has been achieved by the introduction of mineral fillers - fly ash and silica fume. Shrinkage and creep deformation are reduced when content of powdered mineral fillers is increased.

Friction parameter surface treated concrete with a remedy against dryness
The article devoted to developing techniques for measuring the parameters of road friction and airfield pavements in order to study the influence of external factors on the slip resistance of concrete surfaces treated with care products, particularly based aqueous dispersions of polymers and waxes which are applied to prevent withdrawal of the air. In this paper we propose a scheme and technique of testing concrete friction. Test results obtained concrete surface before and after application of the protective film. A fundamental difference in the nature of friction for these surfaces. The protective film obtained by coating the surface of the cement coating means Emcor BFM reduces resistance to more than three times. Friction vs. normal load for cement surface is linear and obeys Coulomb. The coefficient of friction is constant and is 0.34. Friction vs. normal load for a surface covered with a protective film is nonlinear and therefore not subject to the law of Coulomb. The friction coefficient in this case decreases with an increase of the normal load. Values for this ratio obtained in the tests ranged from 0.092 to 0.029, that at times is less than 3,7-11,7 coefficient of friction on the surface of untreated cement.
