Abstract:

The article examines the experience of different countries of the world wave of hydroelectric power plants (WHPP) - a new type of hydro plants, receiving electricity from the kinetic energy of sea waves. Provides concrete examples of the use of WHPP and their technical indicators, describes the main types of WHPP their advantages and disadvantages as a whole.Examines the potential for the use of WHPP in the future, taking into account the dynamics of different economic and social factors, are taken relative forecasts of expediency of the further use of WHPP and spheres of their application. The rapid pace of scientific and technological progress, as well as emerging trends, to the minimal impact on nature in the construction of engineering structures assign WHPP one of the main roles in the modern hydropower.
